This ridiculously simple game never fails to get a giggle. Just pick a familiar tune and try meowing the melody instead of singing the words - your child’s job is to guess what song it is!
It’s a great way to inject some silliness into tense moments, transitions, car rides, or snack time. Even better, take turns and let your child be the cat-conductor too.
Play
Step 1:
Choose a favourite or well-known song (e.g. "Happy Birthday", "Twinkle Twinkle" or "APT"!)
Step 2:
Meow the melody instead of singing the lyrics.
Step 3:
Let your child guess which song it is.
Step 4:
Swap roles and try to guess their tune!
Step 5:
Sing together and have a little meowing jam session just for fun!

Silly sounds remix: Try switching the meows with other animal sounds like woofs, quacks or dinosaur growls.
Family Concert: Put on a silly concert for the rest of the family or toys using only meows.
Serious meow-versation: Attempt to have a serious conversation with each other in meows (or an animal sound of your choice)!
