This is a gentle connection game where you take turns competing - lovingly - to describe just how much you love each other. Instead of numbers or rules, you use imagination, humour, and wildly exaggerated comparisons to make your point.
E.g. "I love you longer than the longest spaghetti noodle that never ends!"
"...Well, I love you to the moon and the stars and the entire universe and back again three times!"
There’s no winner and no ending - just laughter, warmth, and the deep reassurance that love is big, playful, and unconditional. The silliness lowers defences, softens big feelings, and makes it easier for kids (and grownups) to feel seen and secure.
Perfect for bedtime, moments of reconnection after a long day apart, or anytime you want to refill everyone’s emotional cup in under five minutes.
One person starts with a playful love statement (“I love you bigger than the biggest elephant whose eaten a hundred million peanuts!…”)
The next person responds by outdoing it with an even bigger or sillier comparison. ("I love you faster than the fastest kangaroo that bounces around the world 8 times in one second!")
Keep going back and forth, building the love bigger each time.
Let laughter, cuddles, or dramatic reactions naturally emerge.
End whenever it feels complete - or when you’re both laughing too hard to continue.
Theme Round: Only use food, animals, or space comparisons.
Bedtime Version: Slow it down and make the imagery softer and more soothing.
Silly Voices: Say your love lines in robot, monster, or whisper voices.
