Materials
Prep
Set out toy food and any props your child might want to use. Suggest they make a menu or decide what their restaurant/delivery service is called.
Play
Step 1:
Invite your child to be the chef or food delivery person.
Step 2:
Ask them to take your order - by phone, app, or in person.
Step 3:
Sit back while they prep your pretend meal.
Step 4:
Receive your “delivery” and pretend to enjoy it (or rate it 5 stars!).
Step 5:
Repeat with different orders or switch roles.
Extend
Draw the Menu: Help your child draw or write down menu options with prices.
Multiple Deliveries: Set up different rooms as "customers" and let them deliver to various spots.
