A simple but lovely way to explore nature and creativity! Cut up flowers and leaves, then press them onto a frame made from cardboard and sticky tape or contact paper. This open-ended craft lets kids and grownups experiment with patterns, textures, and colours while enjoying a calming activity together. It’s a great way to use fallen petals or leaves and turn them into something special.
Cut a frame shape out of cardboard if you'd like a transparent background, or just use a square / rectangle piece of cardboard as a base.
Cover one side with double-sided tape or a piece of contact paper (sticky side up).
Collect flowers, leaves, and petals from the garden or a walk, or use some old store-bought flowers.
Arrange them on the sticky side of the frame, pressing gently to make them stick.
Try different patterns, colours, or even layering for texture.
Display your nature art on a windowsill, shelf, or wall.
Framed Nature Walk: Collect items during a walk and use them for a memory-filled artwork.
Themed Frames: Try making seasonal frames (e.g., autumn leaves, spring flowers).
Press & Preserve: Press the flowers first in a book to create longer-lasting designs.
